2. How We Use Your Information
We process your data for the following purposes:
- To provide the service – including telescope control, account management, and photo storage.
- To maintain platform security – including abuse detection and enforcement of our Terms of Service.
- To improve performance and reliability – through usage analytics and system diagnostics.

- Legal obligations – retaining information when required by law or in response to lawful requests.
4. How We Store and Protect Your Data
- All data is stored on servers hosted on an OVHcloud VPS.
- Photos and account data are stored indefinitely unless deleted by the user, the account is closed, or the Service is permanently discontinued.
- We use industry‑standard security measures, including encryption where appropriate.
- AI moderation is performed locally using Ollama models; no photo data is sent to external AI providers.
Safety note: All telescope operations are remote; the Service does not grant physical access to the hardware. Users are responsible for following safe operational practices.
5. Data Retention
We retain data according to the following rules:
- Account data – kept for as long as your account is active.
- Photos – kept indefinitely unless you delete them manually.
- Logs and analytics – retained as long as necessary for security and operational purposes.
- TOS violations – if a user breaches our Terms of Service, we retain identifying information and records of the infringement even after account deletion.

All other data is deleted when your account is deleted.
